I am in the final round with my dealer in CT. He is still higher than the folks in ME or NH. Do you think asking for a 50 hour is unheard of? I really would like to stay "local" if I can.

Breakdown

B7510 HST 12,720 (with tax)
includes LA 302 FEL , chain hooks , tires loaded, block heater,
Possibly delivered (9 miles)

Please let me know if this is fair?

Cheers,

RJD

Ask the dealer for what you want, we've all heard no before. I think compared to retail it looks like good pricing. We include delivery and pick up with the Kubota's during warrantee for those repairs. ....

It is not unheard of and it is in your and the dealers best interest as it solidifies your warranty, he (cost) is out no more than $75 excluding shop time and most will jump at the chance to close the deal!! + you will have a better relationship!! Trust me! ....

I think that asking that the 50 hr. inspection service be thrown in the deal is a very reasonable request. As Art said, the worst that can happen is that he says no.

On the other hand. don't always make the assumption that the dealer will do the best and most thorough job on the service. I am not sure what your realationship and experience is with you local dealer, but a quick walk around the shop and maybe a conversation or two with the some mechanics or the service manager can speak volumes. Not saying that your deal is a crook or does sloppy work, but until you have established that your dealer is capable and trustworthy, I would ask for the old parts and carefully inspect the work on your machine to ensure it was actually done, done properly, no leaks, missing parts, or damage.

I did not like the idea anyone working on my 4410 so I did the 50 hour service myself. It was a bit of work but not as bad as you would think with the proper tools. It also gave me a 1st hand up close look at the machine and familiarized me with areas and items to pay special attention to. I have the satisfaction of knowing I did the service by the book and no short cuts were taken. Again, not saying your dealer will do this but some folks I spoke with at a local Deere dealer mentioned reusing the hydraulic/trans oil and just changing the filters and not pulling the suction screen as well as ignoring the rockshaft valve filter.

In my case; I still have many of my tools from when I worked as a mechanic at a Deere dealer MANY years ago. This made working on my 4410 a bit easier and cheaper with respect to having the proper tools. If you don't have the larger wrenchs and oil catch pans as well as any experience in this area; it may make sense to have the dealer do it for you especially if you have a "warm & fuzzy" feeling with them.

Just curious did you ever buy the tractor? Also what dealers in ME and NH did you try and their price. I am looking at a B7500 FEL and front blower used but could almost do better buying a new B7510 and loader. ....
